The Art of Loving is helping Sexlife Canada find a local editor and they asked us to post this notice.

We are  an online magazine and social networking site for Canada’s sex educators, therapists, journalists, activists, artists, and regular folks who are really into sex.

We have  a volunteer position for a local editor. This person will play a key role in the Vancouver sex scene.

The ideal candidates would be:

-New Media Journalists/Bloggers
-Sex Educators/Therapists/Activists
-Students of academic Sexual Studies programs

Traditional media almost completely ignore the “sexuality beat”. Our site is Canada’s only publication covering all aspects of sexual culture in our nation.

The local Editor will:

-weekly: write a blog about sexual culture in that city
-monthly: provide links to local media stories involving sex
-monthly: review a book, movie, event or product pertaining to sex
-monthly: interview of a local sex-positive personality and write a profile

What is in this for you?

-get experience launching a new media concept that uniquely combines writing, reportage, and community building
-get experience with a new type of media specialty: sexual journalism
-meet (and sometimes interview) edge-pushing sexual personalities and attend interesting sexuality events
-this is a volunteer position; we seek 4 month minimum commitments
