Just a word of warning...

If you're thinking about getting the copper IUD, make sure you do an allergy test first.

These past two weeks have been horrendous on my body because I didn't know I was allergic. I ended up getting hives and constant itchiness for 2 weeks, thinking that it was just my eczema flaring up because of the dry winter air. I only decided to research my symptoms up when I started scratching myself awake.  It turns out that women can be allergic to the nickel and copper.

So learn from my experience and do some research on the IUD's before you decide on your form of birth control.
