How to Keep Your Play Space Clean

About protecting your play space.
Are you someone who likes to get wet and messy during sex? I really love towels, but sometimes we need other solutions when you have a squirter that lets out more than a towel can handle. Today we’ll go over how to keep your play space dry and protected from any loose lube or liquids.
My first proposed solution is to move your play space to somewhere easier to clean. If you are worried about your couch, carpet, or bed getting dirtied, consider having sex in the shower or bathroom instead. Hard surfaces are less comfortable but way easier to clean and maintain. If the hard surface is too uncomfortable, put a towel down anyway.
“Ok but if I’m putting a towel down, why don’t I just stay in bed?” If you are really messy with lubricants or squirt, you might soak through your towel(s) pretty quickly. Soaking through a towel on tiles is easier to clean than soaking through a towel onto your mattress.
If you want to stay on a softer surface (I don’t blame you, I like being comfy), I have a DIY solution that I’ve been personally using. It is not very sexy, and is a bit of a pain to use as the layers shift around during play, but it’s a great budget option.
First layer, large enough garbage bag that will cover your surface of choice.
Second layer, towel large enough to cover garbage bag.
That’s basically it. Switch out your towel if it gets too wet or just throw another one over it. This solution is not the most elegant, but if you’re in a pinch it works well. Using what you have is the DIY way.
And if you want to upgrade to something made for waterproofing your sex life, we (of course) have you covered. The Liberator Throw is a giant, super soft and comfy throw blanket that loves to absorb liquids. It will cost you a pretty penny, but the convenience and luxury this throw might be worth it to protect your bedding or carpet.
We also have a smaller waterproof throw by Dame. Much smaller and more compact in a lovely sage green colour. It comes with a storage bag. If you make lighter messes, this throw will be your best friend.
It’s best to wash and dry waterproof blankets with the least amount of heat possible. Washing cold and air drying will preserve the “waterproofness” of your blankets for longer, as heat can weaken the plastic lining that is hidden between the layers of fibre.
