An in-house review of the updated sorta geometrical shaped Dame g-spot toy!
Just an FYI, this toy isn’t new. We’ve had it around for a bit, but recently Dame made some adjustments after listening to customer feedback. We will be comparing the old model with the new one to see if they really have improved their product.
Let’s go over the changes they’ve made first,
Their newer model (the one we carry, “Berry” as we call it, “Plum” on the Dame website) has a universal USB-C port instead of the click on magnetic one, so if you ever loose it, you can easily find another one around the house. This is great, as USB-C can be found anywhere. If your charger calls quits, you don’t have to find the sex toy specific magnetic chargers.
Next, they made the head squishier. The older head was quiet firm, the “beak” tip felt sharp because of it. Not like sharp-going-to-cut-me but sharp-uncomfortable. The new beak “peak” has been padded with more silicone. It’s still the same size as before, just less hard plastic and more squish. This is a good change, and makes the toy more comfortable to use.
Now let’s answer the question, “is it good?”
I like it as a g-spot wand. The shape and length make it comfortable to use. Holding it doesn’t strain my wrist at all. I was questioning the odd head shape, but I fell in love. It’s super easy to hit the g-spot and a-spot. The ledge the beak has provides amazing pointed pressure. As more expensive vibes usually are, the controls are very customizable. You can change the intensity of the patterns or avoid them completely if you don’t like patterns. The run time feels appropriate, around 1.5 hours when constantly running on higher powers.
The wand is also a lovely colour and has a sleek design that I love. The silicone is soft and velvety; it definitely feels like high quality silicone. Waterproof for easier cleaning and shower use.
The biggest con I will give this toy is its weak vibrations. Even on the highest setting, they vibrations are not very strong. Earlier I said I love this toy as a g-spot wand. I’m standing by that and will describe the Arc as a “g-spot wand that vibrates” instead of a “vibrator wand.” The toy is just ok as a clitoral vibe. If you prefer more gentle vibes than the Dame brand is perfect for that. I think this toy would be good for edging and teasing too.
I would definitely recommend warming up before inserting this toy. Like a lot of G-Spot toys, it’s still quite ridged, so if you have a narrow vaginal canal or find difficulties using insertable toys, we would not recommend this one.
If you are thinking about getting this toy, order from us online HERE or come in and take a look for yourself. We have all our toys charged and ready for testing. See you soon.
Peace and Love
