Triumphing over The November Feeling

You might remember our blog post “Circumventing The November Feeling” from earlier this month. Let’s check back in on that.

Well what do you know- we’re finally here on the last day of November. Congrats everybody, we made it! Only a month ago we were toiling in the wallows of what feels like the never-ending Thursday of the year- and now look at us. Rounding the corner on the last month of the year. Now, I’m not a Christian, but you gotta hand it to them- they do a great job of putting Christmas EVERYWHERE in December. And honestly… the colourful lights, the joyous music, the break, the hot drinks… it really lifts the spirits. I love going to an overpriced Christmas market and not buying anything except for food. Gone is the November Feeling, the necessary precursor to the delights of December. So let’s review how everything we did to circumvent the November Feeling has directly set us up for a delightful December:

AMBIENCE

You may recall how I mentioned getting a new string of LED lights every November: well now it’s December and it’s time to bring out every single string of LED lights I’ve ever owned. String them all up, and blast my eyeballs with multicoloured light. And when your eyeballs are being blasted that much, you’ll want a candle to match- which we’ve already got thanks to our November survival mode! Break out those massage oil candles, gaze out the window at the nighttime, haloed by light and bathed in smoke.

WARMTH AND FRESH AIR

It’s December now which means festive holiday drinks! Eggnog and peppermint hot chocolate and white chocolate mocha and apple cider and mulled wine! The best thing about a hot drink is you can enjoy it outside in the cool air, creating the perfect equilibrium between hot and cold. And, at the same time, you can explore some glove options to keep your hands warm when just the drink doesn’t cut it- which can double as some fun sensory play in the bedroom. Gloves can be a fun tool for rubber play, and useful if you or a partner has sharp/pointy nails or acrylics that you/they paid a pretty penny for.

COMPANY

This one almost feels like cheating I mean this is what the holidays are all about! Get together with the people you love, hook up with as many of them as you want, and have a beautiful, delightful December. Have nights in, nights out, close breakfasts and loud lunches. Spend as much time as you can with people, and laugh and cry and cum and dance and party and cook and eat and have a fucking ball.

You deserve it for surviving the November Feeling.
