What's the Sexiest Colour?

We’re always seeing red and black products come in. Those seem to be the staple classics of sex. Red represents love, passion, and hearts; black is mysterious and deep. Some people find white the sexiest since it looks “innocent” and “pure.” While I like white, I have an affinity of wearing it when eating pasta or anything that can and will get onto my clothes. So, what is the sexiest colour?
We will not fight about whether that blue is ‘periwinkle’ or ‘lavender’ because we’d be here forever. You can decide what subgenre of blue you like best, but I will only look at the basic colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black and white. Lastly, I am aware that black and white are shades. I better not see any art students come after me.
According to a Social Psychology report[1], men find red to be the most attractive colour. It seems that red is a “signifier” that a woman is open (but please note that someone’s clothes does not explicitly signify anything or warrant harassment) for an encounter. Men stood closer to the colour red compared to blue and found conversations more intimate when red is worn compared to green. This study was focused on heterosexual relationships and was done in 2010. I think this is important to note. One study does not represent the entirety of sexy colour theory but gives us an idea of what some people enjoy.
What's interesting from a retail point is that red dildos are not popular with anyone. Pink is very common and sought after but we only have one red dildo. Flesh tones and basically every other colour make majority of dildo colours. Not many red vibrators either! It seems that outside of things you wear as clothes or BDSM impliments, you won't find red. This article was mostly about lingerie but I thought we'd include this anyway.
Personally, whatever colour you rock with is great to me. Not sure how many people are complaining about their partner’s lingerie colour. I don’t like yellow but if we’re in the mood and someone is wearing yellow, I wouldn’t be turned off. If you and your man love red in the bedroom, go for it! Whatever makes you feel sexy and confident. I believe that’s the most important thing for you.
