Ever Had a Headache During Sex?

About sex headaches…
Some people may experience headaches when engaging in sexual activity. Those who do have these headaches experience it most prominently during orgasm. These headaches can last from minutes to days. It might only happen once in your life, maybe it happens a lot of the time.
Sex headaches aren’t threatening on their own but may be signs of other issues. Like most bodily problems, it’s wise to talk to a health care professional just to be sure. Better safe than sorry! Sudden sex headaches are more alarming and should be monitored. Just take a break and have someone beside you for a bit while you rest. Sex is fun and great but always remember to take care of yourself first. It might be a mood killer when you have to stop, but that shouldn’t be seen as a bad thing. Again, you are taking care of yourself; that’s a good thing.
If you are experiencing anything beyond “regular headache pain,” such as vomiting, passing out, or severe pain you should go seek medical. If you are like me and hate hospitals and do the thing where you go “I’ll be fine I just need a break,” at least tell someone what’s happening so they can check in on you. And If symptoms persist, grab a friend or partner and head over to a hospital.
Folks with migraines are more likely to experience sex headaches. Sometimes I have migraines and try to masturbate the pain away, sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t do anything, other times it makes it worse. Since I’m use to migraines, I can tell when something is truly awry and not just from my curse that is brain pain.
This isn’t really medical advice but more of a PSA that this is a phenomenon that exists. We always recommend you talk to a profession health care provider if your body is doing odd things. Be sure to take care of yourselves!
Peace and Love.
