Unactionable Kink

Have an impossible kink? Here's how you can still engage with it.
Nearly everyone has got some kind of kink or fetish, and furthermore, nearly everyone has some kind of non-standard turn-on. Whether it’s physical in the stimulation of a non-erotic body part or mental in the engaging of fantasizing, non-standard turn-ons are as wide and varied as us, the people who have them. A good amount of these “non-standard” kinks, however, are completely impossible. That is something we would call an Unactionable Kink or an Unactionable Fetish.
The definition of Unactionable Kink is literally what it sounds like- a kink that you cannot physically perform in action. Some examples of these could be giant/giantess kinks, where someone gets turned on imagining being a giant and playing with a tiny partner, or vice versa. Another could be hypnosis and/or mind control, wherein the subject is hypnotized and placed under the control of their partner. A third common one is inflation, more seen in the furry community, where someone finds it erotic to be pumped full of air or liquid, stretching their stomach/body until rotund. Probably to many of you these sound completely silly- how could someone find that arousing? But I guarantee that for at least half of you, if you look inward and are honest about your own non-standard kinks or turn-ons, you might find something unexpected there.
You may wonder, if these kinks are so unactionable, how does one engage with them? If you cannot physically fulfil that which is turning you on, how do you get turned on from it?
The main avenue that you’ll see most often is fantasy and roleplay. Even if you can’t actually hypnotize your partner, if they act hypnotized and under your control, the end result is nearly identical. Playing pretend is a great way to get around a physical impossibility, and the effect of some good roleplaying on an aroused mind can be extremely potent.
Another way is through art. From drawings of anthropomorphic animals swallowing each other whole to CGI animations of giant women crushing tiny men with their feet, the world of art has always been rich with unactionable kink. Both creating and consuming this content can contribute to the engagement with an unactionable kink. This goes beyond just pornographic drawings- often to the “un-initiated”, these images are completely nonsexual and SFW, if not a bit strange in nature. Know this- if you have ever stumbled across a baffling video boasting a “5 minute craft” or a “life hack” where the content seems completely nonsensical and unhelpful to anyone in real life- it was likely fetish content.
A third way if through toys/costumes/props. There are giant inflatable suits, costumes of aliens with eight eyes, dildos resembling tentacles with suckers. These often go hand-in-hand with fantasy/roleplaying, as a certain degree of buy-in is often helpful to feel immersed in the scene. But whether it’s monster cock or pregnant fursuits, dressing the part can definitely help.
The nice thing about the internet is that it’s deeply unlikely that you’re the first person who’s ever had this unactionable kink. If you discover a truth about yourself and go looking for kinship online, you are sure to find it. So go on that deep-dive, and let yourself find out something new!
