Bringing BDSM into Your Closet

Fashion advice from a kinkster.

If you're looking to spice up your wardrobe, why not take inspiration from the BDSM community? Alternatively, you might want to dress as a proud kinkster. We'll be going through some sexy accessories that are a great addition to you closet. Starting from low-key to more "out there."

Jewelry of Sorts

Cute and easy human decorations are chokers. It can be a classy black ribbon or a dangerous and sexy spiked collar. They're easy to pair with outfits and look super cute. Chokers help fill that empty space on your neck too. Collars are a more clear indication that you're-probably- not vanilla. Obviously collars aren't super low-key, but if you want to add it to your day to day outfits why not.

Fishnets

Pretty low-key. Fishnets really help add a specific flair that nothing else can. Having the diamond pattern peak out of ripped jeans or the bottom of a t-shirt can a fun addition to an otherwise bland outfit. They look great under a dress at a club. Really fills empty space. Surprisingly they keep you sort of insulated; but I can't tell if that's placebo or not considering it is a garment that is quite literally filled with holes. Regardless, I feel a weird warmth when I wear them.

Corsets

A laced corset over a baggy shirt looks fantastic. If you want to be kinkier, wear it on it's own. These waist cinchers looks super sexy. Leather corsets especially; they are emanate power and composure. Also great for posture. Do be warned, proper corsets are very uncomfortable when tightened properly. May be worth it to look fantastic though.

Latex

A true staple of the BDSM community. Latex clothing makes a great base piece for your fits. They form to and accentuate natural curves. It is bound to turn heads as latex clothing isn't a super everyday thing. Though, vinyl/plastic is making a statement in the mainstream so I believe with confidence, I think you can definitely experiment with it.

Harnesses

You're outing yourself the moment you step out of the house with one of these on. If that's not a bother to you, add harnesses on-top of a dress and finish it off with a fun jacket. Or do whatever. There are lots of harness choices that can fit what you desire. Harnesses are a fun accessory that also double as extra carabiner holders. Maybe you'll feel like you're wearing armor? I'm not sure but they did make leather armor in yee old days.

I'd consider myself fairly fashionable so you can probably take my advice. As always, do what makes you happy (as long as you're not hurting anyone else). Buy second hand; I always find some hidden gems in the back of a-clothing-rack!

Peace and love.

(as always)
