INS AND OUTS - PROSTATE MASSAGERS

We’ve added an awesome new seminar on Prostate lovin’ to our roster of classes, so I thought it’d be apropos to do a lil In and Out on: Prostate Massagers!

The prostate is often referred to as the male g-spot, or p-spot, and is an incredibly sensitive and erogenous piece of equipment that many men have yet to discover! Located between the bladder and urethra, this walnut-sized gland’s function is to produce the alkaline fluid that makes up about 30% of semen (along with spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid.) The purpose of this alkaline fluid is to counter-act the natural acidic environment of the vagina, making it more hospitable for sperm. But the less anatomical and much more fun function of the male prostate is to give men body-rockin’ orgasms, so let’s talk about that.
The prostate can be accessed two ways, by stimulating the perineum, or more directly through the anterior rectal wall. With buddy lying on his back, his prostate can be located with the same “come-hither” motion taught for g-spot stimulation. In fact, the p-spot has a very similar location, about 2 inches in and up (or down, if he’s lying ass-up). And like the g-spot, the p-spot responds primarily to pressure, although some people go crazy for vibration there too.

While any penetrative toy can stimulate the prostate through the rectum (likewise, any vibrator through the perineum) there are toys that are ergonomically designed for optimal p-spot lovin’. Here are a couple of examples of prostate massagers with and without vibration:

Aneros has an entire line dedicated to fitting perfectly into a variety of bums. The Helix and MGX are designed for hands-free prostate stimulation, and use a guy’s own PC muscle contractions to move the toy around. These are the same muscles that contract during orgasm, and using a toy like this can help men perform better in non-solo situations (similar to doing kegel exercises for women). It also has an arm that come out either side to stimulate the perineum. This is great on its own (and some men even orgasm from prostate stimulation alone) or in conjunction with penis stimulation.

Because these toys are going in buttholes, which have no lubrication of their own, its super important to use ample amounts of your favourite lubes. A lot of these toys are silicone (which is ideal for butt toys, as it can be totally sterilzed through boiling) which means water-based or hybrid lubes are your best bet. The aneros toys, on the other hand, can be used with silicone lubricant, which is ideal for butts as it is super long lasting and slippery.

Happy exploring, folks!
