To Sex at Night or Day?

About sex and time…

Daylight savings happened, and once again I got to work confused. Thinking I’m an hour early to my shift; I Google “Vancouver time” and learn that I am on time. Not getting employee of the month with that. Right now, I’m looking out the window watching the sun set at 4:30pm. Criminal I tell you.

This got me thinking about sex. Obviously, we’re here. You’re reading this article and I’m writing it. Specifically, when people like to have sex. I’ve met people who love the natural light of the rising sun to illuminate their intimacy. I also know people who prefer the shield of darkness as a cloak of hidden desire.

Does it matter? It’s really up to you. I’m not a morning person, so I’m prickly when I wake up. Not in a “don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” way. Just in a “I don’t want to deal with today” way. My boyfriend likes to start off the day with a bang (of sorts). Not all the time, but if we had a nice evening before he wants to keep the good times rolling. What do we do then?

We just wait a little bit. I get up and do some chores to wake up and then decide if I’m feeling it. This is if we have time in the morning. I refuse to wake up earlier than I need to. Even for sex.

I like having sex whenever is appropriate. It’s usually at night since that’s how my schedule runs, but I’ve learned that if it’s too late I’m probably prioritizing sleep. Something about candles and atmospheric lighting that really doesn’t make seeing very easy.

Try experimenting with when you engage in sexual activity. You might find yourself more energetic if you start your day with a little masturbation session. Maybe it sucks and you hate it and will stick to your pre-dinner sex.

Peace and love.
