Me and the Sun and My Pit Stains

About sweat and smell…

As my heat intolerant co-worker said last week, it is getting temperate. Just kidding, it’s hot and we’re all starting to sweat. There have been a couple of instances where I forget that ‘hot + sunny + grey shirt = pit stains.” I’m feeling a bit unsexy with my sweaty everywhere. And I’m worried I smell bad. And I just feel gross.

Luckily there are remedies to our problems. Obviously, we can all shower and wear antiperspirant, deodorant. Duh, right, yeah basic hygiene. But let’s consider another point of view.

It’s okay to be sweaty and a bit smelly.

It’s summer. The sun is literally beaming hot light at you all day. It’d be crazy to expect someone to be sweat free and odourless.

Now I’m not telling you to go and stink up a public area with your week-old BO. But I think it’s okay to sweat and smell a bit if you’ve been running around outside all day. It is natural after all.

Some people have a fetish for smell and/or sweat. Discuss with your partner if that’s something you’d like to try in your intimate life. You can either work up a sweat in the bedroom or embrace the productions of a day out.

And if you don’t rock with being sweaty and smelly at all, bring your deodorant and a small towel to freshen up throughout the day. Sometimes I bring baby powder to prevent my thighs from chaffing.

Personally, I don’t think you should be ashamed of your bodily functions. If you’re trying your best to keep smells to yourself, don’t sweat it (haha!) too much. We’re all a little smelly sometimes.

Peace and Love.
