SEXY PODCASTS

It is a slushy Vancouver morning as I open up the shop and the first thing that comes to mind is my two favorite things, Podcasts and Sex Education. Sexing History is a podcast I recently stumbled upon while checking our twitter page. I have a passion for podcasts but I also greatly enjoy learning about sexuality through history as it’s a topic that is not always widely publicized.
This podcast in particular is important because it’s run by intelligent and engaging sex educators. Most are professors of sexuality and popular culture. One speaker focuses on the history of sex hygiene films which is such a strange and fascinating venue. There is still of course so much to learn and books are also a great option to expand your sexual knowledge. Here at the store we carry one of the largest collections of sexuality and sex education books in BC that would go nicely with this fun and educational podcast.
Sexing History, as its homepage explains, is a podcast devoted to the history of sexuality and how it shapes our future. The stories range from topics of sexual harassment in early 70’s air travel to the false claims of breast enlargement products of the 60’s. It’s a sex nerd’s paradise and gives a rich background to how our world, its sexual biases and phenomenon’s, have been shaped through history. So why not give them a listen for yourself and just maybe it will inspire you to expand your knowledge more and come by one of the Art of Loving’s Seminars here at our West Broadway shop.
