What’s Up with Pheromone Oil??

Will it draw lovers to you via animalistic scent magic? Well…
You’ve probably heard about pheromone perfume, and thought something like “What am I, an ant? What do you mean, pheromones?” Well, that’s a great question! Pheromone oil doesn’t use pheromones in the traditional, scientific sense that you might be familiar with the word “pheromone”, though it does differ from regular perfume! This is because pheromone perfume focusses on blending with the natural oils already present on your skin, making the scent a little bit different from person to person. Different notes of each fragrance will come out differently depending on who’s wearing it- maybe on one person you’ll smell the sandalwood more, versus the citrus on someone else, when it’s the same scent on both of them!
But why, you might be asking, would I want that? Why would I need a perfume/cologne that smells kind of like me, that smells different than when other people wear the same cologne? Isn’t that the opposite of the point of a scent, so that people don’t smell your natural smell?
Well, if you’re looking to attract someone with your scent, having it tailored to your specific natural scent is actually a great way to sus out compatibility- when people’s natural body odour smell good to you, it means you have very different immune systems, and your offspring would be very healthy. Our animal brains love that, even if we aren’t exactly looking to produce offspring. So, a pheromone oil will let those natural compatibility-seeking scent nodules flourish while still smelling great.
