Tips for Getting Your Sex Toys Through Airport Security

About airport security and sex toys...

I've heard horror stories of folks going through airport security and having terrible encounters. Most of the time it's just embarrassing. Folks going through get embarrassed by security, but it's honestly more embarrassing for those agents that purposely paraded toys in hand in attempts to embarrass or shame flight-ees. We all know what it is, let's be adults and move on. You have no reason to be embarrassed that you take care care of you needs. If they question you just be honest. "It's a sex toy."

Now moving on to tips to packing your sex toys.

Choose smaller toys - Packing light is usually advised for traveling anyway. Maybe the Magic Wand isn't the best choice for your trip. Smaller bullet vibrators that fit in purses or pockets will be more convenient for everyone. When you think bullet-vibe you might think "weak." You'd be surprised at how strong these little guys can get.

"Is your toothbrush buzzing?" - If your vibrator is battery operated, you might want to pull those out to prevent accidental firing off. For rechargeable vibrators, you may choose to run the charge out before traveling. Check if your vibrator has a travel lock too. If you have a smaller vibe you can pop it in a lipstick case to prevent accidental activation.

Hygienic packing - Stick your toy in a clear plastic bag, just in case they open you bag. Everyone will feel a bit cleaner.

Liquid limits - If you're deciding to bring lubricants or massage oils in your carry ons make sure to keep it within the 100ml/3.4oz limit. It would be a waste to have to throw it out. Feel free to bring a gallon of lube in your checked baggage. But that would also really suck if it leaked during transport.

Sex toy bans - Before you travel, check if your destination has restrictions on sex toys. Unfortunately, some countries, like India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Maldives, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, have restrictions. Toys may be confiscated. Worse case, you can be put behind bars. Consult the handy "What Can I Bring?" search tool on the TSA website to double check.

Travel safely and have fun!
